G. Simpson and Associates is owned and operated by Geri Simpson who has been in the Hospitality, wedding/event planning business over 50 years. She has been in almost every phase of it, catering, sales, consultant, restaurant owner, decorator, fashion designer, floral designer. She has practised her skills in Los Angeles, the US Virgin Islands as well as in New Orleans and now Opelousas.
She is certified in many areas and has coordinated many weddings and corporate events for several prestigious clients, and is a member of the prestigious Association For Wedding Professionals International. References are available upon request.

Geri is also the Research and Development Director for the Organization Friends of Culture, producers of the annual New Orleans based Bayou Bacchanal (a West Indian Carnival) and who also assist Caribbean dignitaries visiting with making connections locally and educating people about Caribbean culture.
She is also a member of several local and national business groups, one of which is the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network. She is also a member of CCRA, an organization for home-based, Independent Contractors and Outside Sales travel agents that promotes education and networking.
